Lymphoedema Monitoring Program
A very common side effect of cancer treatments, such as surgery, radiation therapy or Taxane-based chemotherapy, is the development of lymphoedema. Treatment can cause damage or blockages in the lymphatic system.
Lymphoedema is a condition that can develop immediately following treatment or many years after treatment has concluded.
Research has established that early detection of changes in lymphatic fluid levels can prevent lymphoedema from becoming a chronic condition. Lymphoedema develops in stages (stages 0-4).
Through the use of SOZO’s bioimpedance spectroscopy technology, lymphoedema may be detected as early as the subclinical stage (stage 0) before noticeable swelling, allowing for early intervention to stop progression to chronic lymphoedema.

The monitoring program through the use of the SOZO machine (providing a personalised L-Dex® score) prior to, during and after treatment, facilitates close monitoring of body fluid composition and enables swift prevention of the development of lymphoedema.
