ImpediMed® patented bioimpedance spectroscopy technology better known as the SOZO® is the most advanced device used to test fluid and tissue in a person's body.
This device provides an simple non-invasive way to determine the precise makeup of a person's body (e.g., fluid levels, muscle mass, fat mass and protein and minerals etc..) and monitor how that make-up changes over time. It is a great tool to maximise a person's performance and health.
Early Lymphoedema Detection
A simple 1 minute SOZO® test, can detect lymphoedema before any noticeable symptoms such as swelling occurs.
The SOZO® produces what is commonly termed, a persons "LDex score", which helps to identify the early stages of lymphoedema therefore allowing early intervention to stop the condition from becoming chronic.
Lymphoedema Management
It is recommended that people who have or are undergoing cancer treatments, such as, surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy should have a SOZO® test pre-treatment and then every 3 months for at least the first two years post treatment.
Where lymphoedema is diagnosed by a SOZO® test, the LDex score helps with monitoring fluid changes in an individual over time. This means that it can be utilised to measure the effectiveness of compression garments and other treatments.
